This past weekend I got a chance to visit Napa Valley for the first time. At first I wanted to spend that weekend just vegetating at home and recover from coordinating weddings, but that didn't happen. Instead I found out two weeks beforehand that I was going to Napa with a group of my friends. =P I was a bit worried that it would be one of those vacations that would just tire me out and I would be a zombie at work the next day. It actually was the complete opposite. It was a nice refreshing mini vacation where I got to relax, enjoy time with friends, and eat lots of delicious foods. Not only that, but it was a great opportunity to scout out some potential venues for clients! =) Now that's what I call a relaxing vacation. Here are some pictures of the weekend.
Wine Bottles
Fremont Diner- Great eclectic place for brunch
We got a great view of the Napa Valley from this winery I forgot we went to.
Soft furry fields of these plants. I forgot what they're called.
Almond crossants from the famous Buchon bakery.
My friends and I were wondering what those strings attached to the trees at Buchon were for. I thought it would make a cool picture. =)
The most delicious scallops I've ever had at Ad Hoc. I never thought scallops could taste like this.
Who would've ever thought that beets, squash, mixed greens, pine nuts, brie, and other yummy sauces could taste so good. I was a bit hesitant about eating the beets but they were actually well done.
The last entree for the night. Cheese from Beehive. Definitely a must cheese if you're into that kind of thing.
Drinking some champagne after our wine tasting and mexican wedding cookies from Ad Hoc.
A toast for a wonderful, relaxing, and delicious vacation.
