If you want to add a little color or some extra flair to your wedding dress...sometimes adding a sash can help give it that extra touch. You don't want too much so that it everything is too overwhelming, but just enough so the dress is well balanced with it on. Wedding dress sashes can come in so many different forms, colors, and lots of bling. You can have it tied to make a pretty bow or have one with no ties (altered fit).
So question is, can everyone pull off a wedding sash?Correct me if I'm wrong, almost anyone can pull off a wedding sash. It just depends on your dress and the placement on your torso. Also, another great thing about wedding sashes is that it gives the allusion of a nice small waist.
Your Dress:It's not necessairly if you can pull off a wedding sash, the question is...does it look good with your dress? If you got too much bling going on, it may overwhelm the look. Most likely if there's so much going on on your dress, it may not be a good idea to add anything on. Usually sashes are added to dresses that are more simple or has all around lace (like the picture above).
Height:If you're petite like me, placement of the sash on your torso is important. If you're short, the best place to put it is right under the bust. Placing the sash on your waist may accentuate your petite size and make your torso look shorter.
